Double the Power: The New Chase Sapphire Reserve & Ink Business Reserve Offers

chase Jun 28, 2025

This week Chase surprised the travel rewards world with not one, but two blockbuster credit card updates: the relaunch of the Chase Sapphire Reserve with a higher welcome bonus and new credits, and the debut of the all-new Chase Ink Business Reserve. Both cards are game-changers for those maximizing Ultimate Rewards points.

Here’s your Miles Mindset breakdown of both cards, the updated offers, and how to use them to supercharge your next vacation.

The Updated Chase Sapphire Reserve Offer

Chase has reloaded its premium personal travel card with a significantly improved welcome bonus and new statement credits:

Chase Ink Business Reserve: How I Plan to Use It

The Chase Ink Business Reserve is the newest card in the Ultimate Rewards family—and it’s already one of the most valuable.

Offer Highlights:

  • 200,000 Bonus Points after $30,000 spend in 6 months

  • Annual Fee: $795

How I’d Use the Chase Ink Business Reserve

As a small business owner who spends heavily on online advertising, this card is immediately appealing. The 3x earning on social media and search engine ads means I can rack up Chase points just by running the campaigns I already budget for each month.

On top of that, the $200 annual credit for Google Workspace is an easy win. We rely on Google for email, calendar, and shared docs, so this perk will offset real, recurring expenses.

The $300 travel credit and $500 Edit Hotel credit are also nice, but what stands out most for me is how this card rewards the way I already operate my business—without having to shift my systems or strategy.

Between the ad spend bonus, travel perks, and automatic credits, I see this card paying for itself fast. And when paired with the personal Sapphire Reserve, the points potential is powerful.

Strategic Takeaways for Points Pros

  1. You Can Hold Both
The Chase Sapphire Reserve (personal) and the Ink Business Reserve (business) can both be in your wallet—and the welcome bonuses stack.

  2. Ink Doesn’t Impact 5/24
Since the Ink Business Reserve doesn’t appear on your personal credit report, you can apply for it even if you’re close to Chase’s 5/24 rule.

  3. Optimize Spend by Category
Use the personal card for travel/dining and the business card for shipping/ads. Pool all points into one Reserve account for redemptions.

  4. Stack the Credits
Combined, these two cards give you over $1,100 in travel credits annually, not including lounge access, insurance, and other perks.

  5. Maximize the Bonus Window
Spend your $5,000 and $30,000 intentionally. Book trips, pay annual bills, or move vendor spend to hit the thresholds and unlock your rewards fast.

Final Thoughts: Should You Apply?

If you’re a business owner who already swears by your American Express Business Platinum, the Chase Ink Business Reserve is a smart complement. It offers perks in different categories, and the bonus categories—like travel and advertising—may be more relevant to many entrepreneurs. Stacking those benefits alongside Amex Platinum's lounge access and credits gives you a well-rounded toolkit for both earning and redeeming points.

When it comes to the Chase Sapphire Reserve personal card, you'll want to carefully weigh whether the perks justify the $795 annual fee. For travelers who regularly use lounge access, dining credits, and Chase’s travel portal, the value is there. But it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. In our household, we’re seriously considering replacing one of our Capital One Venture X cards to make room for the Sapphire Reserve. The upgraded bonus and ongoing perks are strong enough to warrant the switch for those of us who travel often and optimize redemptions.

If you're ready to apply, make sure you're eligible under 5/24, and consider applying for the business card first if you're near the limit.

We'll continue to share strategies and redemptions for each card in upcoming Miles Mindset guides.

Apply wisely, earn strategically, and travel boldly.
